How to use Hydrogel Mask?

Unlike in the past when mask sheets were made of cotton or non-woven fabric, these days, there are various types of sheets such as biocellulose and Tencel sheets. While general mask sheets involve soaking these sheets in essence and applying them to the face, hydrogel packs are made by forming sheets from a polymer material called hydrogel and mixing the essence directly into it.
Therefore, general sheets are usually recommended to be used for 10-20 minutes to prevent the sheet from drying out and extracting moisture from the skin. In contrast, hydrogel has good adhesion and retains moisture for a long time, with some products even suggesting that it can be used as a sleeping pack.

So, How to make hydrogel mask?

Manufacturers often refer to hydrogel as just water.
This is because hydrogel is made by mixing polymer material with purified water, which occupies a large proportion. Therefore, hydrogel is relatively susceptible to temperature.

As mentioned earlier, the pack is typically made by impregnating the hydrogel sheet with essence so that the essence is mixed directly into the sheet. Since the sheet itself absorbs the essence and contains a lot of moisture, it has better adhesion compared to general sheets and can even provide a cooling effect when used in the summer.
However, the biggest disadvantage is the higher cost compared to mask sheets. Each company requires their own technology for hydrogel production, and if their technology is not stable, their products may even be more expensive than those from larger manufacturers.

The company that WITH.C KOREA sampled has already stabilized its technology through extensive manufacturing and export experience, and with large production capacity, they can provide products with excellent adhesion at a more affordable price.

Below are photos of the four samples we recently conducted.

These are vegan products developed without artificial colors or fragrances, based on widely known concepts such as ceramide, collagen, and vitamins. Despite this, we received the samples at a relatively low MOQ and price.

So, How to use hydrogel mask?

While some sellers suggest that they can be used as sleeping packs due to their high moisture content, I personally do not use them as sleeping packs.
I prefer not to cover my skin with something that blocks my pores from breathing, and moreover, it is uncomfortable and unsanitary for a good night’s sleep.

However, unlike mask packs that need to be adhered well while lying down, hydrogel’s characteristics of good adhesion even when sitting or standing allow me to manage my skin during busy days while working on the computer or driving, as I can stick it on my face and continue with my daily activities.

Unlike general mask sheets that need to be patted after use to absorb the essence, hydrogel packs melt and absorb into the skin, providing a refreshing finish without stickiness, which is more convenient.

Due to the increasing inquiries about hydrogel packs, I have summarized the information once again. If you have any questions about WITH.C KOREA’s hydrogel packs, please use the Contact channel on the website!
